I ran across a series of articles today that I think everyone here should read How to Launch a Membership Site. In this series of articles Yaro Starak in which he discuses his path to his own membership site. If you've come here because of Eben Pagan's Guru Mastermind Group then you may have missed the bigger picture. The ultimate information product isn't an ebook or audios or videos or even cds/and dvds, it a membership site. Think about it, if you create an ebook or or any of the other products above, they slowly begin to die the second they are done. The information becomes old, sales die off, buyers disappear. So then what do you do, start a new info product just to have the same fate. So here's what you might have missed, the info product Eben is selling is a membership site. OK, I'm part way to the series and I totally agree with you Norm that membership sites are the next step as far as packaging of information products go and also a way to start a new cycle - e.g. one path might look like this: free ebook to establish credibility-> free mini-course in exchange for email list signup -> paid ebook -> paid short course on CD and/or Online -> Paid seminars (including offline and taped) and on CD and/or Online --> ongoing Membership site with one subscription level -> Membership site with different (multiple) subscription levels --> Member feedback telling you what products to develop next and start the next cycle in new niche/with new products etc. - Thanks, Megan
